The line chart depicts the percentages of households that use over a 100-year period from 1920 to 2019 and the other line chart describes how much time each household on . Overall, the percentages of grew every 20 years with only a slight fall from 1960 to 1980. In contrast, of hours for each household every 20 years.

Refrigerators became popular , rising from to 100% in 2019, vacuum cleaners in the same year. It was notable that washing machines experienced a decrease from 70% to nearly 65%.

It can be seen that housework was not as common in 1960 as in 1920, declining from 50 hours to only 20 per week, of the original hours.
