Two maps show Norbiton industrial area and a planned residential development. The town is west of the site, farmland and a river are to the north, and a main road runs along the southern edge. Existing factories surround a central roundabout and a road extending east. The plan replaces factories with housing, extends roads northwest and north across a new bridge to housing beyond the river, and adds a small roundabout at the main road. Shops and a medical centre lie south of the central roundabout; a playground and school are to the east.

The maps illustrate an industrial region in Norbiton in the present time compared with an intended layout of developing the place in some years to come. Overall, it is evident that there will be tremendous changes in infrastructure that will be affected by the future plan.
To commence with, in the current plan, there is a river running at the northern border of the layout, and beyond it is farmland. However, no bridge aiding workers to cross the river to the other side. Interestingly, in the future plan, a bridge connects the central part of the town and beyond the river to the farmland. Also, the central part of the town is mostly dominated by factories which stretch to the eastern corner, but in some years to come, it is planned that most of the factory buildings will be replaced with housing units.
Moreover, in the present plan, there is a limited number of infrastructure, whereas, in the future layout, there will be an improvement in the infrastructure which will dominate the central part of the vicinity and stretch to the eastern part. Some of these changes will include shops, schools, playgrounds and medical centres. It is also interesting to know that the town lying in the western part of the town will remain unchanged in the future plan.

The given maps depict the predicted development of the Norbiton industrial area over time.
In general, it is intended for the specified region to undergo a significant renovation in order to construct more residential amenities while eventually razing the factories.
Regarding the first map, the town area is currently comparatively empty. The town is surrounded by a street and a river on the North and South sides, respectively. Eight factories circulate a significant portion of the path along the two branches of the traffic roundabout in the town’s centre.
In the planned proposal, the traffic circle is expected to have two more lanes, one of which would cross the river directly to a new housing area on its north side. Another branch is anticipated to be surrounded by homes and stores to the west of that traffic circle, while the other leads to a different, smaller traffic circle on the original major route. The final branch will be located on the east side of the main intersection, from which people may access the medical centre in the northwest corner, the playground in the centre of the feeder road, and the school at the end of the street.

The report includes a pair of visuals that depict the current state of Norbiton’s manufacturing quarter and the anticipated layout in the future. The entire area is slated to undergo a comprehensive metamorphosis, transforming it into a residential district.
At present, the location lies to the east of Norbiton, with a river flowing from west to east in the northern sector. The farmland is situated to the north of the river, and a roundabout occupies the centre of the district, providing access to two exits. One leads to a main road in the south, while the other is oriented towards the east, with factories dispersed on both sides of the roundabout.
In the future, two new exits will be constructed at the roundabout, enabling passage towards the northwest and north directions, crossing over a newly built bridge that leads to new housing. The countryside in the northeast will be the only remaining sector untouched. Additionally, a small roundabout will be built on the main road to link to the larger roundabout. The factories will be replaced by housing and facilities like shops and a medical centre, and a school will be constructed in the east, with a nearby park.

The cartographic representations provide a detailed account of Norbiton’s current state and its projected developmental plans. A comprehensive analysis of the maps reveals a discernible shift towards increased residential infrastructure and a concomitant decline in industrial facilities. This transformation will chiefly take place in the western and northern regions of the town, with only a minuscule portion of farmland remaining untouched.
Currently, the town centre comprises a central roundabout, surrounded by factories, and a west-to-east thoroughfare. In the future, while the roundabout will persist, the factories will give way to commercial establishments, and new residential complexes will emerge alongside a north-western avenue. Additionally, a new hospital will be constructed in the south-eastern district. The existing eastward thoroughfare will be flanked by new residences and will feature a substantial playground to the north and a school at the easternmost boundary of the town.
Beyond the town centre, plans are underway to construct a small roundabout in the southern region that will bisect an existing street. To the north, a bridge will span the river, and some of the farmland will be supplanted with housing, albeit not to the east, where no alterations are planned.
