227 wordsThe diagrams illustrate the layout of Beechwood Farm in 1950 and how the same site appears today. Overall, it is evident that the farm has undergone substantial transformation . The most remarkable development is the expansion of facilities catering to tourism and renewable energy, which has reshaped much of the northern area. In the northeastern section, the open land previously used for keeping sheep has been completely redeveloped . This space has been replaced by a parking area and a camping field in the northwest corner while further to the northeast, a large array of solar panels has been installed. Directly in front of these panels, another parking lot has been added. By contrast, the remaining areas of the farm have retained more of their original structure , despite notable updates. The former track has been widened and converted into a proper road, improving access throughout the site. In the southeast, both the area for chickens close to the river and the farmhouse behind it remain unchanged . The barn that once stood just north of the farmhouse has been converted into holiday cottages, while a new barn has been constructed near the vegetable plots, which themselves have been preserved . In the southwest, the orchards and soft-fruit areas to the right of the fruit tree area still occupy their former positions , but a new farm shop has been built within this zone.
