Once in a while, we have to have enjoyment through things we always like to do to escape from our stressful work, so we do have a certain hobby. However, these habitual things should not be extreme for us to enjoy, because as long as we love what we do and we can afford it, then we will get the pleasure we want to. For one, as long as we have a fondness of what we like to do regularly, we can achieve enjoyment. For instance, my hobby is reading fiction and nonfiction books such as the series novel Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling and the Pretty Little Liars series by Sara Shepard. I really love to read since I was in my preschool age and I do this every weekend or I am not busy at work in the hospital. This is not a very difficult thing to do because I am just sitting on a couch or in my bed while doing this, but I always get the pleasure I wanted. In addition to this, these books are affordable so it more added to our indulgence. For example, there are preloaded books in Burnham Bookwormers bookstore that is located in Baguio City, Philippines, in which we can purchase a second-hand book for only 10 to 20 pesos, an equivalent of half a US dollar. So it is very cheap. Whereas when we engage to extremely hard hobbies such sky-diving, cycling down a cliff or feeding a shark by our hands like others wanted to do, then we need to have a lot of money to be able to do such things, and we cannot enjoy these if we always think how much money we spent for these dangerous hobbies. In conclusion, it is always pleasurable to do activities of our great interest and at the same time economical. It does not need to be hard and risky like some would want it to have fun. So I highly recommend enjoying what you like doing as long as you can manage it economically.
In today’s world, pastimes are crucial for any person in order to relax and rejuvenate from hectic schedules. Some of them claim that these activities must be tedious and only then it is feasible to have fun. However, in my perspective, I vehemently disaccord with the given assertion, which says that hobbies must be rigorous, and I will explicate my stance in the forthcoming paragraphs with credible illustrations.
To start with, some individuals foster that leisure activities are fun-filled provided they are challenging. Nevertheless, I anticipate that it should be relaxing rather than creating additive pressure and making it cumbersome. There are a plethora of hobbies such as swimming, music, dance, athletics and reading novels. The youngsters inculcate these pastimes in their daily life to forego numerous psychological hurdles. To cite an example, when a person is suffering from depression and anxiety, therapists advice them to include hobbies which would be a noteworthy deviation. Additionally, middle-aged people who are swamped with massive workloads at their workplaces feel that it is crucial to adopt a hobby to relieve themselves from work pressure and have an amazing time when taking part in these activities. Hence, with excess difficulties, the public is liable to added disturbances rather than enjoying their leisure hours.
On a similar note, the government is taking measures and establishing norms to introduce many leisure hours during school. This makes pupils distracted from their studies and are not liable to mental pressure. The educational department is considering making a minimum of two co-curricular activities mandatory for students and can select as per their desire. Furthermore, parents are motivating their children to have a hobby after their return from school. They are encouraging their wards to take ample breaks during study hours which eventually makes them concentrate in an optimal manner.
Taking everything into consideration, in my view, pastimes should be filled with optimism, enjoyment and happiness rather than invoking hurdles and making our lives more challenging.
A group of people think that enjoyable hobbies are activities that are considered as difficult and challenging. Although some people agree with the statement, but I personally disagree with it, since everyone has his own interest.
On the one hand, several people believe that enjoyable hobbies need to be difficult and complicated. Sophisticated and challenging hobbies such as mountain climbing, bungee jumping or water rafting are considered as high risk and trigger the adrenalin. To conquer those hobbies, people need to be in a healthy condition and require them to master some sophisticated techniques. And when people could conquer these activities, they would be satisfied with the accomplishment and achievement. As for simple hobbies such as walking or reading, they believe that these activities are less challenging and boring, since everybody could do those activities, and they do not require any kind of expertise or breathtaking.
On the other hand, it is undeniable that people have different interest, passion and hobby. For certain people, easy hobbies such as stamp collecting or jogging might be considered as boring, but others feel that these activities are fun and satisfying. Some people are satisfied and proud of their unique and diverse stamp collection, while others enjoy walking as it helps them in maintaining their health. Therefore, people could not rank different hobbies based on the difficulty level of the activity.
In conclusion, it is true that some hobbies are difficult but others are easy, and everyone has different hobbies. I personally feel that hobbies do not need to be difficult to be enjoyable but they should be in accordance with a person's interest.
Enjoyable and giving you a pleased feeling about what you do.
