Overall assessment

Why this response received Band 7.0

The response addresses both questions with a clear structure, relevant health and social consequences, and practical sleep advice. Its strongest aspect is the logical progression from problems to solutions. The main limitations are imprecise expressions and explanations that rely on research-style assertions without fully establishing causal links, especially in the mental-health example.

TR Task Response

7.0

Both questions are fully addressed with a clear position, well-developed main ideas, and relevant supporting examples, though some claims remain generalised rather than fully elaborated.

CC Coherence and Cohesion

7.0

Ideas progress logically across clear paragraphs with effective linking devices, although some transitions such as repeated 'Moreover' are used somewhat mechanically.

LR Lexical Resource

7.0

A sufficient range of topic-related vocabulary is used with some flexibility, but choices such as 'imminent', 'insomnolence' and 'sleep faster' reduce clarity or precision in context.

GRA Grammatical Range and Accuracy

7.0

Complex sentences are generally controlled, including relative clauses and coordinated clauses. The opening 'seem like sleeping' misuses the complement after 'seem', and the relative clause about 'others who suffer' obscures who experiences the stated difficulties.
